9 Homemade Cleaners You Can Make Yourself

“Homemade household cleaners can help you keep your home clean, and fresh without the risks of harmful chemicals, here are some you can make yourself’

Peace Fam!

I hope this post finds you well. It’s springtime according to the calendar, because the weather seems to still be stuck in cold mode, but it’s springtime nonetheless. This time of year, plenty of folks are doing a deep clean. Lately, I have been wanting to make my own cleaners to use around the house. Just reading the back of some of these cleaners, I often wondered about the harmful chemicals that I am spraying on the surfaces around my place.

According to Organic Consumers, Cleaning ingredients vary in the type of health hazard they pose. Some cause acute, or immediate, hazards such as skin or respiratory irritation, watery eyes, or chemical burns, while others are associated with chronic, or long-term, effects such as cancer. Personally, I would not expect anything less from the large corporations that make these cleaners. As consumers, we have to be vigilant. Remember that most large companies are probably going to try to get away with what they can at the cost to the consumer. Not only should you be worried about the chemicals and the harm it may cause to your body, you should also consider the environmental impact. Organic consumers state that in “May 2002 study of contaminants in stream water samples across the country, the U.S. Geological Survey found persistent detergent metabolites in 69% of streams tested. Sixty-six percent contained disinfectants.” The US infrastructure is old and out of date, and there are already several cases of water contamination in cities all over the country.  So keep this in mind when you are using harmful chemicals to clean your home. With that said, I wanted to share this infographic from Pressure Coach, that features 9 homemade house cleaning recipes that I hope you will love. Please share, and use some recipes. Let me know if you used any!
