“Cut down on chemicals you can’t pronounce in your shampoo, by making your own at home. These 5 day natural homemade shampoo recipes are perfect for African American Natural Hair.”
Peace,
It’s Kim here with another DIY post for your hair. I wanted to share some natural hair shampoos you can make for yourself at home. I love these, and they are perfect to keep your hair clean and moisturized. I have locs so I don’t use the cornstarch recipe, but I do swapped the coconut oil for olive oil for a great shampoo recipe. I love these. They save me money, and they aren’t harmful to my hair.
Natural Hair Shampoo
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup Castile Soap
1/2 tsp Jojoba Oil ( If you hair is oily, you can take this out, or try a lighter oil option like sesame oil)
Mix ingredients together into a bottle and leave over night for mixture to thicken.

Natural Herbal Shampoo
1/2 cup water
1/2 lavender (dried)
1/2 cup Natural hair shampoo
2 Tbsp Vegetable glycerin
Combine water and lavender together and heat on low. Let mixture stand for 30 mins before adding shampoo and glycerin. Make sure to stir well. Put in bottle and allow to thicken overnight.

Egg Shampoo
1 raw egg
1 tbspn basic shampoo
Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix until smooth. Use shampoo and follow with cool rinse. Rinsing with warm water will cause eggs to form. Discard after use.

Olive Oil Shampoo
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup castile soap.
Mix ingredients together until smooth.

Dry Shampoo Recipe
1/4 cup cornstarch
Sprinkle the cornstarch in hair. Let the hair soak it up. Use a brush to remove.
