“This turmeric smoothie is not only delicious, but filled with nutrients that benefit your body. Grab some turmeric, mango, cinnamon, ginger and more to make this yummy smoothie.”

Peace Fam!

I hope this post finds you well. I wanted to share this recipe for a turmeric smoothie. Don’t let the spice steer you away from trying this. I honestly could not taste it. The coconut milk completely masks the taste. I came upon this recipe when I was on Pinterest of course, and wanted to find some new smoothies. I had no idea I could use this. Turmeric has a ton of uses, and is great for you. People use the spice in food, in face masks, and now I guess, in smoothies.

Benefits of Turmeric
Defined by the Mayo Clinic, as a “functional food” turmeric has loads of benefits and few side effects. It is mostly found in South Asian countries, but you can grow it in your yard if you would like. I found many benefits of turmeric, over at the Dr. Axe website that I will list and you can click the link for more information:

Fights Inflammation
Reduces depression
Boosts skin health
Can treat or prevent certain cancers
Helps manage diabetes
Combats obesity
Regulates cholestoral
Wow, that’s’ quite a list. I personally love foods with turmeric, as you can see I tried to make my own Aloo Gobi, a North Indian recipe I found, and I hope to make more. Try this smoothie, and let me know what you think!
